Cute Little Naughty Pants.

My little cutie pie LOVES trains. It’s partially due to his dad — fine, it’s all due to his dad. We have a really nice view and see a lot of trains, planes, automobiles, and even boats from where we live. David stands on a little kid chair for about 5-15 minutes here and there and looks at the “choo choo trains” passing by. He knows the difference between subways, freight trains, and normal passenger trains. And he gets excited about it. For example, when he spots a subway, he’ll say “subway train!” and I’ll ask, “where?” and he raises his voice to a higher octave and says in this cute little pitch, “right there!” while he points to moving train.

Today, I was in the other room while he did naughty things with all of my electronics. First, he took my iPod off the charger and said “me! me!” (his picture is my background on the lock screen). I made him put it back, but I walked away and entrusted him with contents of the the room again. After a few minutes, it was super quiet (you know they’re up to no good when it’s quiet — last week it was him playing with Vaseline and rubbing it all over his body!) so I came in to check again. He had my cell phone against his head and was getting ready to place a phone call. I took that one away from him too and left the room yet again. It was quiet still so I checked in a few moments later. David had our cordless phone in his hand this time around and I heard a voice coming out of the speaker. He had called his grandmother in Pennsylvania!

She was very happy to hear his voice. Sometimes there’s a benefit to the naughtiness. It’s always cute regardless.

The funny thing is that the “cute little naughty pants” was initially written for another topic entirely until this happened: his fascination with drawing. He likes taking crayons and pens and coloring on the wrong places. He has colored on our window with crayons twice now and on the windowsill/air conditioner. I still can’t figure out how to get it off. He colored on daddy’s computer with the crayon (fortunately, daddy didn’t notice). He colored on our couch with a pen. 🙁 Fortunately, it’s not much. He colored on his face today with a pen and on his leg. I only noticed the big line against his cheek so I walked him to the mirror to show him what he did. He notices the line and points to his thigh to show me what he did there.

What a cute little naughty pants.
