Conversations.

David is miles ahead of kids his age when it comes to having conversations. He understands pretty much every request and we have ongoing conversations. Today, we had one that went like this:

David: “Go in car!”
Me: “Where do you want the car to go?”
David: “Go elevator.”
Me: “What are you going to do in the elevator?”
David: “Push the button.”
Me: “Where will the elevator take you?”
David: “Shop.”
Me: “What are you going to buy?”
David: “Yogurt!”

And then we did it again with a few twists: “shop” became “shopping” and he decided to add “peanut butter” and “challah” to his shopping cart in addition to “yogurt,” which I said he already bought the first time. The conversation ended with this:

Me: “Where are you going to put the food?”
David: “Microwave!”
