Reflections.

Today, I was watching Cake Boss on TV. David recognizes Buddy Valastro’s face everywhere, and when he sees it, he shouts excitedly, “Cake Boss!” Yesterday, we walked to the train station and a flyer for an upcoming “performance” (what?) of Cake Boss was happening at the Tarrytown City Music Hall. David said, “Cake Boss!” He doesn’t skip a beat.

I am about 3 weeks behind on Cake Boss episodes, so I sat down to watch one today. The room was kind of dark (it’s way too hot, so the shades were down) and David noticed the reflection of the cake boss imagery on my glasses. He climbed up on me and he shouted, “Cake Boss!” At first, I had no idea what he was talking about. “Where?” “Right there!” It took awhile for me to understand how perceptive he was!

David is still obsessed with characters that he isn’t exposed to on a regular basis, like the carets he had seen the other day. A few days ago, he noticed a question mark on my shirt. I told him what it was.

Yesterday, he was looking at his daddy’s computer keyboard. He found the question mark and yelled happily, “question mark!” That night, I read him his little story, and he noticed the question marks there too. He was so happy to see them.
