Sarah had insomnia last night. She wanted to play and play and play. She was the happiest baby who didn’t want to sleep. If we didn’t have things to do today, I’d totally have caved and given into her playfulness. It was adorable.
But eventually, like all things, we had to get her to turn to a pumpkin and go to sleep. The best part about last night and maybe even the entire Christmas holiday weekend was those minutes rocking her on the chair, having her cuddled against me, and trying to get her to sleep. I love having little babies.
Sarah sings herself to sleep. It’s the cutest thing ever. She just lays there and starts making these noises (seven month old babies don’t know how to really sing) until she’s asleep. It makes her feel better, I suppose.
