Kisses.

This Shabbos, Sarah had a bit of a runny nose.

It was also the first time Sarah ever kissed me.

I was laying on the couch with her sitting up next to me by my chest. I said to her, “Sarah, give me a kiss.” She leaned forward with her mouth open and plopped one on my lips. If you were there, you’d have found it really cute.

I was taken aback that she actually did it so I asked her to do it again. She did!

I immediately wiped off the slobber of her runny nose/teething drool (she’s got a top tooth coming in) and figured I wouldn’t catch anything. Well, I was wrong. I have a bit of a sore throat, and I’m sure it was from that kiss.

David knows I’m a bit under the weather, and he wanted to know how I got sick. I told him Sarah got me sick when she kissed me, explaining that it all comes from germs.

“But how can you get sick from kissing? Kissing is so nice!”

Yeah, well, he’s right.

[And we won’t talk to him about mono yet, thanks.]
