Today, I checked out a school for Sarah to go to in the fall. I then sat her down and told her about it. Our conversation went much like this:
“Sarah, next year, we’re going to send you to school. Are you excited to go?”
“NO! NOT walking!” is how she responded.
“But that’s okay, Sarah. They tell me they’ll carry you.”
“NO!” she says.
“Not walking!”
Fast forward an hour and I told her, “Sarah, next year, we’re going to go to school.”
“No,” she said again.
“But you’re still going to school. Okay?”
“Okay.”
I tried again a few seconds later. “Are you going to go to school?”
“Yes.”
