Yesterday, I showed a picture of Robert De Niro to David. He said, “That’s a bad man! Robbers are bad men.”
I had to explain that Robert isn’t a robber.
Today, David asked if Isabel, the babysitter, is coming to work today. I said, “Yes, she wants to get paid.” David questioned this. “She earned it, David!” And he was troubled: “But you’re giving away your money, Mommy. Maybe Daddy should be the nanny.”
Maybe indeed.
