For those of you getting an email about this on Yom Tov, for the record, I’m writing it on Sunday. It’s not Yom Tov yet (well, okay, fine, it’s in the 18 minutes…)
I’ve been meaning to provide an update on Alana, so here goes:
I’m unable to tell who the funnier daughter is: Alana or Sarah. On one hand, for two months or so, Alana has been turning on her mobile and listening to the music. (She turns it off and on. If it turns off as it automatically does after it plays and she’s still awake, she will turn it on again…) I also come into her room after nap time or in the morning and most of her dolls are on the floor, as she throws them over the edge…for whatever reason.
Either I’m a bit sick/under the weather or I’m having allergies, but I’ve had this little cough in the back of my throat and have to clear it often, so Alana naturally has to mimic me every time I do it. Sometimes she takes it upon herself to do it anyway, because that’s what she’s supposed to do.
Time will tell if I will have another funnygirl at home.
MAN, that kid likes to squirm too. She does not sit still for anything. We went to the city less than a month ago and she was trying to escape from my arms on the subway. Last week, we had a dedication of a statue across the street, and while I was talking to the mayor!!! of our town, we heard a big squeal in the stroller below us. Alana had bent down in an attempt to free herself from the stroller and got stuck!
You can’t really cuddle with her too much. She always tries to get free.
Here’s the troublesome tot in action, trying to enjoy the Cheerios I put on her high chair tray.
Life’s good.
