Alana likes to ask the question, “are you happy?” to a lot to people, and she does so repeatedly. I’m not sure where she got it and what she wants to achieve from it. It’s such a philosophical question, a strange question for a three-year-old to ask so frequently.
Sometimes I tell her, “mommy will be happy if you hug her” to motivate her to do things that will make me happy. She does get it, to some degree. But if you tell her you’re not happy, she doesn’t really persist and ask much more. Of course, she can’t comprehend it. But where did the question come from? We don’t know.
