We are in the middle of the last leg of an epic road trip. We drove to upstate New York (Ithaca, Rochester, Buffalo), Niagara Falls in both NY and Canada, Toronto, Detroit, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, and Cleveland. Today we departed from Cleveland and embarked on the last seven hours of our trip.
I’m not sure what happened exactly but Alana had this idea that she’d enjoy the trip more if there’s a coloring book involved. So for 7 hours she’s been hounding us about said coloring book. We told her we’d get her one if we saw a nearby store but we really are in the middle of nowhere.
She took a nap for about 2 hours of the trip and woke up right away and the first words out of her mouth were “can I get a coloring book?”
Danny picked up on how annoying it was so he eventually said, “we aren’t going to complain anymore if you give us a coloring book already.”
It’s 10pm and pitch black in the car and she’s still at it. 😂
