Freak Out.

Freak out. That would be me. With baby now climbing on EVERYTHING, including the gate we erected to prevent him from crawling into my wires, I’m seriously afraid that he’ll fall backwards and land on his head. I caught his arm today before he fell. I wasn’t so lucky the second time when he landed on my chair, but he also didn’t fall very far. He was crying for a few minutes and then calmed down.

I’m not sure what to do. We don’t have carpeting and the foam tiles that you buy at buy buy baby were annoying to maintain, but even so, it’s not that padded for him. I want him to learn how it feels to fall but at the same time I don’t want him to hit his head on something that will hurt. I’m absolutely terrified. Helmet? He’ll hate it. Pack n Play? We tried that and he hates it. What’s left?

Maybe the helmet idea will work…. this just in before I hit post.

What have you done with your kids?
