9 Months Old.

Today, David turns 9 months old. It’s insane how he’s almost one year old. Time is flying and I’m having fun!

I thought month 8 wouldn’t have much to it, but in reality, he has grown a lot. Here are the significant milestones of the past month:

  1. He holds the bottle with both hands.
  2. He crawls on all fours — normally!
  3. We’ve been feeding him puffs and he is finally taking them with his hands and putting them in his mouth. Yay for motor skills! (By the way, by now, it might be that he’s a lefty.  Most of the puffs he takes are picked up with his left hand and his aim is much better on the left hand than on the right.)
  4. He is standing up on both feet and pulling himself up more often. He sometimes can get down, but most of the time, he needs his mommy’s help.  This part isn’t that fun.
  5. He likes to talk. He says “babababababababa” pretty often.

Lately, he’s been making this funny face of scrunching his nose and squinting his eyes when he’s happy or sad (but not when he’s looking far or anything, so I don’t think it’s visual). It’s super cute but I wonder what he’s doing or what is going on in his mind.

His 9 month doctor’s appointment is Wednesday, and I’m terrified to see him get shots, so I’m not going to be too keen on this, but at the same time, I anxiously await talking to his doctor and discussing the achievements of his development.
