Maps.

David is currently playing with Daddy’s TouchPad and is enjoying Google Maps. I asked him where he wanted to go, and he said “on the choo choo train, then out to lunch, and then go home.”

The other day, I told him it was a leap year. He asked “why a leapeater?”

I also told him about the shape, hexagon, a few weeks ago. On Friday, he spotted a diamond in one of his new toys and he said “hexagon!” I’m very impressed that he remembered that word.

We’re still working on the potty training, but so far, it’s going all right. He had an accident in his underwear just once (he’s not wearing any right now and is still bare bottomed for awhile–I thought I’d bypass the recommended 3 month suggested timing for him to go naked). We give him pull ups before and after nap time and he sometimes goes inside the pull ups. The lesson here is to force him to go potty after nap time and in the morning. This takes discipline, but overall, he does understand what to do. (We’re also working on the big potty, not the little one, so he can transition easier to other bathrooms without the need to carry a potty with us.) With school starting again on Wednesday, I just hope he stays dry!

  1. They showed a hexagon this weekend on that terrible tv show he was watching, “The Upside Down Show” or something like that.
