Sarah is learning how to talk. David did this at 17 months, but it’s better late than never that Sarah is doing so at 19 months.
Sarah is also not walking (and is getting early intervention for that), but she crawls up and down the stairs like a boss. She’s gotten a ton more confidence with it this past week especially.
Today’s cuteness started when I told Sarah we needed to change her diaper. She crawled to the stairs and said “upstairs” (or more precisely, “uh-tares”). When I was up in the room to change her diaper, I spotted a sealed and new box of little toys up on the closet shelf. I took it down, knowing that these little toys (animals) would make her so happy; she loves little toy animals. She saw me with the box and said, “open!”
I didn’t prompt her about either. Well, maybe the upstairs one. But I certainly didn’t realize she was ready to say it!
