While we were reading David bedtime stories, he noticed that something was under the bed in his room. His daddy told him that he couldn’t remove it because it was the wheel for the pull out bed. Always equipped with the answers, David suggested, “screwdriver!” so that could enjoy whatever it was that was hiding

Today, daddy and mommy were watching TV while the little guy was in the office being up to no good. After there was silence for a little while, I decided to ask him what he was doing. “Checking mommy’s email!” he said. (And yes, he was.)

Preschool.

I can’t believe that two years ago, I was dealing with a 3 month old. Now, he’s a rambunctious, thoughtful, and well spoken two year old who is ready for school. We had an orientation yesterday with his teachers (he has 4, but I believe only 3 are in the class at any given time)

Buy More Pretzels.

We finished a large canister of pretzels this morning and I told David that they were “all gone.” Not to be defeated, David knew what to say. “Buy more pretzels!” he ordered, making sure that he’ll have some more to enjoy again.

15 Minutes of Fame.

I paid a panhandler for the first time ever today. I went to Manhattan on the subway; I had a meeting and couldn’t get a babysitter. We took the bus and train downtown. Thankfully, the meeting was in the same building as Daddy’s office, so it was easy to make a switch in the lobby
