Daddy had some plastic piece on his arm near his elbow. I noticed it but didn’t think to say anything (it’s been one of those days where life is a blur … and it’s probably related to David waking up repeatedly at 6am because its gets light out — more on that later). Anyway, when David walked up to him, Brian noticed it and asked David to identify what it was on his arm. He bent it toward David and asked him, “What’s that on my arm!?” to which David replied “a elbow!” I guess he’s right.

David’s also been saying some interesting things. “Well, actually…” is his new cute little phrase. It’s very adorable hearing such things from a 2 year old.

We stuck a digital clock in his room last night to help teach him when he should get up. He knows his numbers perfectly (but he doesn’t really know how to tell time yet), so telling him to stay in his room until the first number on the clock is an 8 is our assignment of the week. He got up today at 6 and then at 7, but he did go back to his room after we instructed him to go back to sleep, so hopefully he’ll start to understand when he can get up soon enough! It’s been tough so far.
